This used edgebanding unit is a specialized spare part for full 4-sided edgebanding and all-round edgebanding at butt joints in processing centers of the IMA 680, 480, and 980 series. The module comes from an IMA 680 V machine with serial number 2216 and built in 2001.

The unit is equipped with a main pressure roller with a diameter of 100 mm and a pneumatically controlled post-pressing roller with a diameter of 35 mm. An integrated glue application unit ensures uniform coating of the edge material with temperature and level control.

The servo drive automatically adapts to the machine's feed rate and ensures precise feeding of the edgeband. For post-activation of the adhesive surface, a hot-air unit with 7.5 kW is installed on the glue side. On the decor side, a 600-watt IR emitter supports material deformation for small radii.

Further features include a pneumatically driven cutting saw with butt joint detection and an NC axis with a rotation range of up to 740 degrees and a pneumatic Z-stroke of 125 mm. Additionally, the unit has a separate NC axis in the Y-direction, which works in the X-direction on gantry machines and can be controlled independently of the main axis.

A powerful hot air post-activation unit with 7.5 kW is installed on the glue side. On the decor side, a 600-watt infrared emitter ensures optimal heating for material deformation in tight radii. A pneumatically operated cutting saw with butt joint detection is also integrated.

The unit has an NC axis with a rotation range of up to 740 degrees and a pneumatic Z-stroke of 125 mm. Additionally, an independent NC axis is available in the Y-direction (in the X-direction for gantry machines), allowing the unit to operate independently of the main axis.
