Product Description

The Bircher ESD3-K167 REV. A (Part No. K167, HOMAG No. 4-008-32-0967) is an industrial safety relay in the revised Revision A. It monitors safety devices such as safety doors, emergency stop buttons or light barriers in two channels – and safely shuts down the machine within max. 50 ms when triggered.

This device was taken directly from a running system, not overhauled or upgraded, and corresponds to its original delivery condition. It has been electrically tested and is fully functional – ready for immediate use as a direct replacement. Attention: Do not confuse with ESD3-6171 or ESD3-6171-K234 – different pin assignment.

Status LEDs – Meaning of the indicators

Operation	Relay switched on and ready for operation – all safety circuits closed
Safety shutdown (1)	Channel 1 triggered – e.g. safety door open or emergency stop pressed
